If you’re looking to remove or trim your body hair without any nicks or cuts, there’s no finer tool than the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 7100.
This trimmer/shaver is solely designed to cut hair from the neck down, (including your manhood and his 2 hairy mates) and boy does it do the job well.
Note: There is a newer version of this item:
If it had an extending arm so you could trim your back hair, I would have given it 5 stars out of 5.
Grooming your body-hair is hygienic, it makes you look good, and the ladies really do appreciate it – especially down below!
Seriously, don’t waste your money on cheap, crappy, plastic models.
You get what you pay for.
This is an awesome shaver that every ‘hairy man’ should own.
This feature is a must in my eyes.
Let’s face it, it’s easier and less clean-up to shave your body in the shower.
Plus, it’s a better way to shave, because the heat and steam from the hot water soften the hair follicles, making them easier to cut.
Once you’ve finished, you simply wash and rinse the shaver under the cold water tap.
If showering is not an option, the Philips Bodygroom 7100 cuts perfectly well as a dry shaver/trimmer.
Dual-Sided Shaver and Trimmer with Fixed Trimming Comb
This clever design has a trimmer on one end, and a shaver head on the other.
Just select and lock your required hair length setting, and you’re good to go.
Having this ‘built-in’ means you don’t have to worry about those flimsy, detachable guide combs that can pull-off during use, get broken, or get lost over time.
The shaver part is curved on both sides and uses a hypo-allergenic foil and patented pearl tips.
I’m not sure what pearl tips are, but the manufacturers at Philips claim it helps prevent skin irritation.
It also has a 3-Dimensional pivoting head, which adjusts to the curves of your body.
This is a really important feature, especially when you’re trimming your ‘old fella’!
The last thing you want is a blunt blade tugging your skin and taking nicks out of your crown jewels!
Reassuringly, the Body Groomer 7100 has self-sharpening blades so you don’t need to worry about them becoming blunt and start cutting your skin.
Philips recommend you change the blade once every 6 to 12 months.
They are cheap enough to buy and I would grab a spare one when you buy the Groomer.
You can buy the blades from Amazon. (opens in new window)
The body of this shaver/trimmer is coated with a soft-touch rubber grip.
This is another good feature, especially when you use it in the shower as it helps prevent the shaver from slipping out of your hand.
Unlike the majority of body groomers, the Philips Norelco 7100 gives you a full 50 minutes of continuous use after just 1 hour of mains charging.
That’s darn quick-charging!
When the battery is fully charged the unit displays a solid green light.
When you’re down to your last 10 minutes of usage, the light blinks orange.
Another tick in the box!
Oh, and a cleaning brush!
For peace of mind, it comes with a 2-year worldwide guarantee.

Here’s a promotional video demonstrating the Philips Bodygroom in action:
The shaver in the video is the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 3100.
Fairly similar to the 7100, but I wouldn’t recommend it over the 7100 model.
- Ergonomic rubber grip for maximum control
- Water-resistant for use in the shower, and easy cleaning
- Self-sharpening blade
- Hypo-allergenic foil shaver and patented pearl tips
- Rounded tips for smooth contact with your skin
- 5 length settings for different body hair lengths
- Takes just 1 hour to fully charge providing 50 minutes of cordless use
- No extension arm to shave your back
You can now stop wondering about the best way to remove your body hair – especially around your crown jewels!
The Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 is quite honestly the savior of men’s body hair removal.
I used to dread shaving my bits. (Which included my back-sack-and-crack!)
Now I do it without thinking. Every week I give myself a quick going over in the shower – quick and simple.
For my chest hair I prefer a light covering. The trimmer end of this unit cuts it to a perfect length.
It’s not ideal for back-hairs because there’s no extension to it, but with a bit of self contortion, I can just about reach all of my back.
What else can I say? It’s a great shaver/trimmer that any self-respecting guy should own.
Double thumbs up for me!
